CHESHIRE – Michael J. Zello, 88, passed away Saturday June 26, 2010 at the Highlands Healthcare Center in Cheshire. He was the husband of Juanita (Boyce) Zello.

Mr. Zello was born January 23, 1922 in New Haven the son of the late Anthony and Concetta (Jacaruso) Zello. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a communicant of St. Bridget Church and enjoyed woodworking. He worked as a general contractor and employee of Timex Corp. of Middlebury until his retirement in 1986.


Besides his wife of 60 years, Mr. Zello is survived by his sons Michael A. Zello and his wife Joanne Champagne of Wolcott, Robert Zello and his wife Debbie of Cheshire, and Timothy Zello and his wife Marcia of Cheshire; his brother James Zello and his wife Doreen of Windsor Locks; his four grandchildren Kevin, Carrie, Heather and Sarah all of Cheshire and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Flora and Mary.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 3, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
