WATERBURY- Mrs. Aranka (Goldstein) Zelinger, 86 of 180 Scott Rd., Waterbury, died Monday morning Jan. 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the wife of Wolf B. Zelinger. Mrs. Zelinger was born in Hungary, Aug. 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Martin and Alona (Friedman) Goldstein and had been a Waterbury resident for the past 50 years, coming here from Sweden. She was a member of the B’Nai Shalom Synagogue and a member of Hadassah. Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves one son, C. Robert Zelinger and is wife Naomi Young of West Hartford; one daughter, Susan Wise and her husband Thomas of Waterbury; one brother Menachem Golan of Ashkelon, Israel; 4 grandchildren, Julie and David Wise and Jeremy and Jonathon Zelinger. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. at West Main St.. Burial will be in Farband Cemetery, East Morris. Shiva will be observed at the home of her daughter, Susan Wise, 71 Meadowlark Dr., Waterbury on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
