MIDDLETOWN- James K. Zanavich Sr., 75, passed away Saturday March 10, 2012 at his residence. He was predeceased by his wife Irene Zanavich.

He was born August 31, 1936 in Waterbury son of the late James J. and Mildred (Delkescamp) Wasky.
James was employed as a Machinist at Bristol Babcock prior to his retirement, and was a member of the Middlebury Fire Department. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served on the U.S.S Shenandoah.

He is survived by a son James K. Zanavich Jr. of Middlebury; a daughter Sharon of Oxford and her husband Kenneth St. Germain of Middlebury; three grandchildren Brandon Zanavich, Michelle St. Germain, and Kenneth St. Germain Jr. James was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Zanavich.

Arrangements- A graveside service for James will be held Tuesday March 13, 2012 at Lake Elise Cemetery, Middlebury, at 10 A.M. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710 is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in his name may be made to American Parkinson’s Disease, 27 Allendale Ave, North Haven, CT 06473.
